Any teacher at PPKE can initiate the creation of a new CEEPUS network or the joining of an existing one, notifying the institutional CEEPUS coordinator, if the decision is supported by the Head of Department or the Head of Institution.

The CEEPUS network is the organizational framework in which the mobility of teachers and students is implemented. The aim of the CEEPUS program is the development of education, therefore the organization of congresses, conferences or research activities cannot be the subject of the CEEPUS network application. In addition to student/lecturer mobility, the exchange program supports intensive courses, summer universities and student professional trips organized in a particular field.

Conditions for joining the CEEPUS program

  • Only accredited higher education institutions can apply (as coordinator or partner).
  • Students traveling within the framework of CEEPUS must be provided with a tuition fee waiver at the receiving institution.
  • Mutual recognition of foreign studies is mandatory.
  • The use of ECTS or a credit system compatible with it is mandatory.
  • For incoming students, courses must be offered in English, German or French in addition to the local language.
  • For those participating in teacher mobility, a minimum of 6 hours of teaching per week is mandatory, in the language agreed upon by the parties involved.

Organization of scientific congresses and conferences cannot be the subject of the CEEPUS network application, these can only be additional activities within the network cooperation!

How to join to an existing CEEPUS network?

  • Joining an existing network as a partner: using the network search engine under the FIND menu item on the www.ceepus.info  website, select networks related to the field of expertise and study their work.
  • Contacting the network coordinator and discussing the network's professional work and specific rules. The abbreviation in the network number indicates the country of the main coordinator. (Eg: RO-0814: Romanian network coordinator)
  • Contributing to the compilation of the application text and contributing to the submission of the application by the deadline.
  • Obtaining the documents to be attached (the "Letter of Endorsement" containing the support of the Rector and the "Letter of Intent" signed by the responsible organizational unit (Dean) which ensures the mutual recognition of foreign studies)

How to create a new network as a coordinator or partner?

  • After partner search (by reviving previous professional relationships or using partner search services), development of new collaborations and exchange actions.
  • The participants must determine which of the partner institutions participating in the network will assume the role of network coordinator. He will compile the professional materials received from the partners and submit the resulting application.
  • The minimum number of partners participating in a network is 5, so a minimum of 5 Participating Partner Units (PPU) from 5 different countries can create a new CEEPUS network.
  • Each partner obtains the documents to be attached based on the rules detailed above (the "Letter of Endorsement" containing the support of the rector and the "Letter of Intent" signed by the responsible organizational unit, which ensures the mutual recognition of foreign studies), and attaches them to the application.

Applications can be submitted electronically, in an online system, via the website of the Central CEEPUS Office, which can be accessed at: www.ceepus.info.

You can submit a network application once per academic year, and you can find out more about the deadline and conditions on the following page:  www.ceepus.info.

Please make sure to notify the institutional CEEPUS coordinator by e-mail about your intention to apply for a network application (whether to join an existing network or to create a new network)!
